President’s Award – Waterloo Engineering Society
August 2015
President’s Awards are given to Engineering Society volunteers, directors or commissioner who excelled in their contribution to the Society, the winners of these awards of gone above and beyond the expectations of their role and showed initiative and leadership. These awards are presented by the Executive team each term at the final Engineering Society Council Meeting.
I received this after a term where I acted as the first Workshop’s Manager, which included workshops on Excel, Matlab, LaTeX, and the two workshops I ran, AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor. During this term, I was also the Music Director for the Engineering Society. Each of these roles required budgeting, scheduling, roadblock removing, coordination, planning, and for the workshops I ran, technical, written, oral, and interpersonal skills.
